Meet Danielle Natelson

by Leading Edge

We're excited to introduce our new Director of Special Projects, Danielle Natelson!

Danielle Natelson (she/her) joins the Leading Edge team as the first ever Director of Special Projects. Most recently she served as the Director of the Springboard Fellowship at Hillel International, the largest early career development program in the Jewish community. Danielle is a proud UC Berkeley alum where she now sits on the Hillel board, and is a member of the fifth class of the Wexner Field Fellowship. Here are a few Q&As to help you get to know the newest addition to team Leading Edge.

What drew you to Leading Edge?

I see Leading Edge as a bold agent of change and impact in the Jewish communal sector looking to elevate all of us into our fullest potential, and I'm honored to be part of that work alongside a team of colleagues who supports one another and practices what they preach in the world.

What does a “great place to work” mean to you?

A place that knows who they are and lives into it while encouraging its employees to do the same. It's also a place that values and celebrates the many talents and strengths its employees bring to the table, helps you cultivate and discover new assets you didn't know you had in you, and makes space to engage with all the different parts that make up who you are.

What are you looking forward to most about your new position?

I'm so excited to learn and dream up what could be. In general, the opportunity to be in a new role provides such a refreshing chance to really lean into a posture of curiosity and exploration, and I can't wait to engage my brain and my heart in new ways.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Go with your gut.

What’s your favorite place to travel?

Anywhere with great food and great weather!

What's the best TV show, movie, book or podcast you've consumed in the last year?

Ted Lasso by FAR. As a sports fan I love seeing a show that highlights the power of sports beyond game wins and losses. It's got the perfect ratio of feel-good and feels. Can't wait for season 3!
