Ashley Donohue (she/her) is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Leading Edge. Ashley leads the organization’s storytelling, brand, digital strategy, and communications, helping make Leading Edge’s voice heard across the Jewish nonprofit sector. She brings nearly two decades of experience helping mission-driven organizations clarify their voice, build audiences, and use communications as a tool for organizational growth and change.
Prior to joining Leading Edge, Ashley served as Managing Director at Sing Creative Group. As lead strategist for the agency's non-profit clients, Ashley's work spanned brand positioning, strategic communications, thought leadership, audience growth, and organizational positioning. She also built scalable infrastructure for the agency, supervised the agency's consultant team, while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
Previously, Ashley served as Senior Communications Director at Mishkan Chicago, where she helped transform a small startup community into one of the fastest-growing congregations in the area. As a digital strategist at Greater Good Strategy, she advised clients on audience development, rebranding, fundraising communications, and digital strategy. Across her career, Ashley has worked with more than 30 Jewish nonprofit organizations.
Ashley believes that a strong communications strategy is the connective tissue that holds an organization together — internally and externally. She is a calm-in-the-chaos over communicator who believes that bringing people along for the ride is as important as the destination. Her work is grounded in the Jewish value of leaving the world better than she found it, and she is especially passionate about helping strengthen the people and organizations that make Jewish communal life possible.
Ashley holds a BA from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in social and public policy from Georgetown University.
