JPro Membership FAQs

What is the JPro Membership?

JPro Membership is Leading Edge’s new initiative to support, connect, and empower professionals in their Jewish nonprofit careers. When you become a JPro Member, you join a vibrant community of skilled professionals who are passionate about supporting each other, growing their skills, and building the Jewish nonprofit sector into a place where amazing people drive change in the Jewish community and the world.

What are the benefits of JPro Membership?

Your JPro Membership includes core benefits that remain the same every year, as well as seasonal benefits as opportunities within Leading Edge and the sector at large arise. Our core benefits include access to exclusive, members-only professional development opportunities, affinity with a network of colleagues across North America, and agency as a Jewish communal professional to lend your voice to the important issues facing our workforce.

Can my organization pay for my JPro Membership?

Since this is an individual membership model, we require that each professional register for their membership on their own. However, if your organization wishes to reimburse some or all of the annual membership fee as a professional development benefit, all the better!

Who can join the JPro Membership?

In January of 2026, we are soft-launching the JPro Membership exclusively for current JPro Members and JPro Local Group Members. However, if other Jewish communal professionals wish to join, they are welcome to do so. All JPro Members must be full- or part-time employees in the Jewish nonprofit sector.

I work adjacent to the field (consultant, coach, lay-leader, etc.). Can I join JPro Membership by Leading Edge?

At this time, membership is open specifically to part- and full-time employees in the Jewish nonprofit sector. In the future, we may open membership to other groups of professionals who work in this space, so stay tuned.

What is the cost of an annual membership?

We are offering a special, first-year rate of $45 (regularly $95) for all JPro Members and Local Group Members. This special rate honors our first adopters as you help us shape the membership model for the field at large.

How do I register for the JPro Membership?

You can click here to register and pay for your membership. After completing your registration, we will reach out with more information on benefits and networking opportunities.

How does the JPro Membership differ from the JPro Affiliate model?

The Affiliate model offered organizations the chance to join, and by joining, extending the benefits of membership to all full-time and part-time employees. The JPro Membership is solely an individual membership, because our community is built on the power of individual professionals showing up, learning, and leading together.

My organization was a JPro Affiliate. Does that automatically make me a member of the JPro Membership?

No. This is a brand new membership model, allowing professionals to join as individuals. This means that your membership will follow you through your career in the Jewish nonprofit sector, regardless of your organization.
